Two days in a row with a show! I’m really spoiling you, aren’t I? 😄
But it had to be this way! I can’t be held responsible for what I do!
Either way, again we had many great tracks in tonight’s show, and one of those was “Human” by Amy Wiles and Nourey. I liked it so much that I voted it as Favourite of the Week™ (where it won with 1 out of 1 votes)!
And, as usual, here is the recording that will help you live through the next week:
The next show will on Wednesday, October 16, at 19:00 CEST/UTC+2.
Two weeks of break and today’s show really started off with a whole bunch of bangers! (Vacation was great, too, but — of course — way too short!)
Now, I could list all those great tracks here, but I’m way too lazy for that, so I’ll leave you with the Favourite of the Week™, “Make This Moment Last” by Alan Morris and Stine Grove, and I’ll recommend that you listen to this show yourself, at your earliest convenience!
(Here’s where you do the listening thing.)
The next show will be tomorrow at the usual time, 19:00 CEST/UTC+2.
Today was the last show before my actual vacation, but don’t worry — there will be a show next week! Well, at least if you define a “week” as the period between one Wednesday and the next… 😄
Next week on Wednesday we will still be in our beach home at the Baltic Sea, but we will return shortly after that. The show might happen on Friday, or on Saturday, or maybe on Sunday? I’m quite sure it will not happen on Monday, but it might happen on Tuesday. Isn’t this existing? 😆
Before I leave, I will leave you tonight’s banger of a show, with new tracks by Gareth Emery, Marco V, Renegade System, Asteroid & Driftmoon, Freak E Beatz & Protoculture, Stoneface & Terminal, Airscape & Johan Gielen, and this week’s Favourite of the Week™ is a remix by Dan Cooper of Mauro Picotto’s “Lizard” from 1998!
There’s a number of other remixes of rather old tracks in there, see if you can spot them all!
The next show will be sometime next week; stay tuned for details!
Today was the last show before my two weeks of vacation, but don’t worry — there will be a show next week! We will only be leaving for our cozy vacation home the day after next week’s show, so the show is safe!
It’s also safe to say that we had a bunch of nice tracks today! As soon as you’re starting to listen to the show (hit the button below!) you will be greeted by the Favourite of the Week™, and of course it’s nobody else than Richard Bedford! Together with Above & Beyond (what a great team they are!), here is “Heart of Stone!”
And the rest of the show is worth being listened to as well, so do so right here!
The next show will be on Wednesday, September 25, at 19:00 CEST/UTC+2.
We are back on our regular schedule, but I already do have another interruption of said schedule to announce: due to being on vacation I will not play a show on October 2. The show will happen in the week after that, probably on the Tuesday again, giving you another week with two shows!
Enough talk about the future, what does the present have for us? New tracks, that’s what! Andrea Montorsi teamed up with Renegade System and brought us “4 Your Love,” Ferry Corsten teamed up with Silva City for “Chaos,” and Alina Renae, Craig Connelly, and Nicholas Gunn — guess what — also teamed up, for “Miss You!” Oh, well, I guess David Forbes released a new track called “1994,” all on his own, and Enigma State gave us “S-Bahn.”
Dedicated fuckings have to go to Ahmed Helmy for releasing a total banger of a song (called “R4VE 401”) but then cutting the Extended Mix to 3:07. Not a typo. What the actual fuck, Ahmed?!
Anyway! This week’s Favourite of the Week™ is also a team-up! Please enjoy “Signs” by Guava Project and Numa!
Listen to the whole thing again right here:
The next show will be on Wednesday, September 18, at 19:00 CEST/UTC+2.
A show on a Tuesday? Yes! As I was on a recovery trip last week I could not play last week, but I can play twice this week, and that is what I am going to do!
So, today’s show if basically full of last week’s tracks but as you have not heard them before (at least not from me), I can present them to you as if they had been exported fresh from the DAW!
And we had a decent amount of good tracks among them, e.g. by Amber Revival and Hel:sløwed (“Wildfire”), BT and Matt Fax (“Vertical”), David Forbes (“All On You”), Robert Nickson (“Cicero”), and XiJaro & Pitch (“Bittersweet”).
This week’s Favourite of the Week™ is called “Collision,” and it’s by Collide1, which is Frank Waanders and Ralphie B in a trenchcoat. 😄
I did the thing where I take the thing and do the thing with the thing, just so you do the thing.
The next show will be tomorrow, Wednesday, September 11, at 19:00 CEST/UTC+2.
Today’s show started 10 minutes late, because my wife and I were out, looking at a couple of houses because we are (once again) thinking about buying one. Today we looked at one that has high-ish values for satisfaction, and now my wife is rearranging furniture in her head all the time. We are probably going to look at least at a couple more, and maybe there’s something that we’ll love, and maybe not. We’ll see.
However, one thing that we absolutely do know, is that we had a huge bunch of new tracks in tonight’s show! New stuff by Daniel Skyver, Simon Patterson, Metta & Glyde, Artena & Inversed, Christina Novelli and Ciaran McAuley, as well as many others, and I was also able to pick a Favourite of the Week: Bryan Kearney’s “You Will Never Be Forgotten,” remixed by Lostly.
But as usual, you should give the whole show a bit of your attention. Do so right here:
There is not going to be a show next, as I will be unavailable. For reasons. However, the week after that you will get two shows, one on Tuesday (September 10), and one on Wednesday (September 11), both at 19:00 CEST/UTC+2.
The experiments are still not done! Today’s experiment: can I play from and record to the same flash drive at the same time? Preliminary results say: yes, I can!
That is pretty great because it changes my after-show workflow in a way that allows to move the DJ table out of the way before uploading the show; previously everything would stay where it was until I finished encoding the show from the USB drive the player exposes. Now I can simply rip out the flash drive and put the player away!
But that is not all that is awesome, we also had a bunch of great tracks tonight! “Orion” by Driftmoon & Hel:sløwed was great, “Syndicate” by Renegade System was great, Alan Morris’s remix of Robert Nickon’s “Delyo’s Voyage” was great, and the Novakaine remix of “Never End” by Yoji Biomehanika was — you guessed it — great!
However, greatest of all (today) was this track: “Love Again Like That” by Miyuki and Tara Louise, remixed by Sam Laxton! ❤️
Just do me a favour, listen to the show, and if you find a track that you think is pretty great, tell me about it in the comments. 🙂
The next show will be on Wednesday, August 21, at 19:00 CEST/UTC+2.
More experimenting: not only did I play today’s show from a flash drive, I also recorded the show to a flash drive; to a second flash drive, nonetheless! And from what I can tell so far, everything has worked absolutely flawlessly, which actually saves me a good deal of work of every week, because connecting the player to the MacBook is almost infinitely more trouble than just putting stuff on a flash drive, which takes mere seconds and doesn’t even require a USB cable. Technology! ❤️
And again, the Stream Deck worked great. Really glad I finally got that, really mad that it took me so long. 😄
Anyway, we had a bunch of cool tracks, like “Venezia” by Alessandra Roncone, “Emotion FM” by Craig Connelly, and The Favourite of the Week™: “Timelapse” by John O’Callaghan (disguised as Joint Operations Centre), remixed by Sean Tyas (disguised as abstrkt). 🔥
But once again, there’s so much more music to listen to, don’t let my picks keep you from listening to all the tracks, right here.
The next show will be on Wednesday, August 14, at 19:00 CEST/UTC+2.
