Quite some movement in the Top 10 this week, more than half of last week’s Top 10 was thrown out (#4 even dropped to #49!), two new entries in there (21 in total) and Tinlicker has dropped to #35!

The year 2022 has finally started in this show, and after last week’s episode which saw very little activity (with only two (2) new entries) we have a huge bunch of new entries this week: more than half of the tracks are new entries! I think this is a first.

Even though we are already in the new year (happy new year, everyone!) this episode is still about 2021 – the last week of 2021, to be precise, as that is the week these charts have been created from.

And I’m sure you’re all just burning to know what happened to Tinlicker’s version of Robert Miles’s “Children” this week and… well… it climbed another five places and is now firmly lodged in at #15!

Haha, “Children’s” journey is apparently far from over, this week it has re-entered the top 20!

Tinlicker’s “Children” has re-established itself firmly in the upper half of the show, dropping only a single place from #22 last week to #23 this week. When will it re-enter the top 20? Or the top 10? Maybe even the top 3? Oh my!

Last week Tinlicker’s version of Robert Miles’s “Children” had dropped down to #45 and many of you (and me!) thought that that would have been the last of it. It would have had a great run, too, with 60 (!) weeks in this chart show, more than any other track ever (in my chart show)! So it gave me great pleasure to be able to play it again today, and at #22 no less! Over the past year the track has really grown on me so I am quite happy that I can keep playing it week after week.

Next week there’s going to be another Top of the Week (the 22nd is a very normal Wednesday, after all) but I’m not yet quite sure what I’m gonna do for my birthday on Saturday… I’m currently leaning towards just playing EVE Online all day long but maybe I’ll do a surprise show? Well, how much of a surprise would it be if I told you about it beforehand? Not much, I guess…

I will play another Top of the Month on Saturday, December 11, starting again at 11:00 CET/UTC+1 in the usual place, and next week, on Saturday, December 18, it’s once again my birthday so I’ll probably spend that streaming, too. Looking forward to it!
